Lavender

Lavender (about 12 weeks old as of 7/31/2026) is a female brown tabby short haired kitten. Lavender was born in a Waukegan feral cat colony and trapped along with her sisters and mom when she was about 2 weeks old. From when her eyes were barely opened she was raised in a loving foster home with two children doting on her, so she's grown up much friendlier than her docile but terrified mom. From the day she was rescued little Lavender had strong opinions and was sure to advocate for herself. In other words, Lavender is a very vocal girl. She's stubborn and knows just what she wants to be doing and can't help but yell about it if things aren't going her way. Thankfully she's a super sweet, well adjusted kitty now who loves to cuddle and play, but you'd better be willing to follow Lavender's lead or you're gonna get an earful of complaints. She gets along well with other cats and like most kittens has a lot of energy so we think she'll do best with a young kitty playmate. She's very used to kids and although she hasn't lived with dogs we think she's had enough excitement and chaos in her upbringing that she would learn to love most cat-friendly dogs.<br/> <br/>Lavender will be spayed August 6th and ready to go to her new home soon after! Come and meet her at our public adoption event most Saturdays 11-2 at the Pet Supplies Plus store in Waukegan!
