Kurt is a girl (she's a calico and 99.9% of calicos are girls!)
She came in with her 3 kittens and her sister Kyle.
Their original home situation was as indoor/outdoor cats that were unfixed and having kittens.
So, it was important for us to take these girls in, and get them all fixed and ready for new homes.
However, Kurt was so frightened at the shelter when she first came in, we felt it was best to fix her and return her to the indoor/outdoor home she was used to.
The folks who surrendered her to us did agree to her take back, but a couple months later they called us to let us know they could no longer take care of her and that she was sick.
Back at the shelter, after a couple weeks hiding in a carrier or covered bed while being closely monitored for any sign of illness, she has started to show her true sweet self.
