Our adoption policies are designed to ensure safe, responsible, and lasting placements for every animal. Potential adopters must complete an adoption application that is reviewed by our team. We evaluate lifestyle, housing stability, veterinary history (when applicable), and overall fit for the specific animal. Landlord approval is required for renters, and we verify that existing pets are up to date on core vaccinations and sterilization unless medically exempt. We prioritize best-match placements over first-come, first-served. Meet-and-greets are required for dogs and recommended for all household members and resident dogs. Some animals may require fenced yards, experienced handlers, or specific home environments based on behavior or medical needs. All adopted pets are spayed/neutered (or adopted under a signed spay/neuter agreement for age-appropriate juveniles), vaccinated, and microchipped prior to finalization.
