Judy's Story

SWEET WITH A LITTLE HEART HICCUP: Approx. 11 months old / Approx. 9.25 lbs. & growing

Hi, my name is Judy! My siblings and I needed good homes, and thankfully Mostly Mutts took us in. They have all been adopted, and I’ve been growing and thriving in a wonderful foster home ever since. I play and act just like any other kitten, even though I was born with a heart condition called ventricular septal defect (VSD), a small hole between the lower chambers of my heart. You'd honestly never know it unless someone told you! I've had 2 echocardiograms and am doing so well. Just ask about me!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS: There are two adult cats in my foster home and I absolutely adore them! We play together every day, and I love having kitty companions around. / I haven't met dogs yet. / I also haven’t met children yet, but I think I could warm up to them just fine as long as introductions are slow and they let me come around on my own terms, so let’s meet.

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION: I'm a happy, curious little girl with a sleek, soft coat, a big purr, and an even bigger love for fun! Playtime is my love language and the key to my heart, so bring out the kitty toys and play with me a bit each day (I also play well independently). When I'm not busy having fun, you'll find me curled up on a soft blanket, snoozing in a sunny window, or draped across your lap in the cutest half-on, half-off cuddle nap. I've met lots of new people in my foster home and especially enjoy it when they bring out feather wands or string toys. Like many kitties, I may take a moment to observe first, but then I'll join right in to see what everyone is up to. I am eager to please and even do well with regular nail trims.

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS: I am skilled at being adorable and entertaining! / I've taken to my litter box like a champ in both my foster homes. My foster has had nothing but great things to report.

• LIKES/DISLIKES: My idea of a great time is zooming through the house, wrestling with my foster brothers, and chasing anything from feather wands to wadded-up paper — even regular-size tennis balls! I love being part of the action and in the middle of all the fun, so an active playful household is right up my alley. One of my favorite quirky treats is crushed ice from the fridge. I'll bat it around and lick it until it melts. I also enjoy climbing my cat tree and reigning as queen of the house! But don't let all that energy fool you, I am equally happy to slow things down. Some of my favorite moments are curling up on a soft blanket, soaking up a sunny window, or settling in for a long, cozy nap. If you call "kitty" and give a soft clap, I'll usually come running (though not always, because I am a cat and we have minds of our own lol). I'm sure to fill your home with laughter and lots of big purrs! Give me a little time to get to know you, play with me, and we'll become great buddies. A lively, active playful home full of love and fun? That's exactly where I belong. / I’d do best without a lot of loud and chaotic commotion though and of course I would not like it if I didn’t get the love, good medical care and attention that all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL: I am current on my annual vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. I was born with a heart condition called ventricular septal defect (VSD), a small hole between the lower chambers of my heart, but I haven't had any symptoms of my heart condition other than a faster breaths per minute and it truly doesn't impact my day-to-day life. Many cats with my condition go on to live completely normal lives and so far, all signs point in that direction for me! I don't need any special treatment at the moment, just a loving home that will keep an eye on me and check with their vet if symptoms arise.

I know my perfect forever family is out there somewhere. Let’s meet and see if that could be you! My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
