Please don't apply for Jonagold unless you have a young and playful cat that needs a friend or are willing to adopt him with another cat. He is not suitable as an only cat and was returned to us due to that.
Jonagold is an adorable 4-month-old kitten that was adopted from us and returned because he is just too active and busy to be an only cat and gets frustrated and will start to bite wrists and hands. He is extremely active and at the Shelter, he spends his days leaping from place to place. We have placed kittens like him before and have found the only thing that can keep them busy enough to be happy is a feline friend to run and wrestle with. When he has enough activity he is very sweet and enjoys cuddling and purrs but most of the time he is jumping on furniture, tables, and other objects. He loves interactive toys and loves attention from our volunteers. He is neutered, microchipped, and has had age-appropriate vaccines.

All adoption meetings are by appointment. Our kitten adoption fee (cats up to 6 months old) is $200 for a single kitten or $350 for a pair. The adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, microchip, testing for FeLV and spaying/neutering when old enough.
