MEET JANNIE!

Jannie and her three siblings - Charles "Charlie" Dickens, Bootz, and Ace - were an unexpected surprise. Rosy, their mother, patiently awaited rescue or adoption at Devore Animal Shelter in late July 2023. After being passed over time and again, by early August, her time was running out. The Kitty Devore Rescue team knew we couldn't let anything bad happen to her, so we swooped in just in the nick of time and rescued her to safety. Understandably, her time in the shelter left her terrified, and even though she was safe in a wonderful foster home, she needed time to settle in and gain a sense of trust in her doting guardians. On her first visit to the vet for a routine exam, we learned we didn't just save one beautiful kitty. Rosy had little Rosebuds on the way!

Jannie and her siblings were born in their warm, loving foster home on September 6, 2023, in the home of our amazing foster parents, Christian and Lem. While her brothers race and tumble, sweet Jannie is curious and shy. Her perfect home would be one with gentle, patient people willing to coax her out of her shell. Based on their experience, her foster parents assure us she's motivated by treats! Once comfortable and confirmed she's safe, Jannie becomes a playful little love-bunny. She enjoys watching Cat TV with her siblings and always knows the best hiding spots. She's highly affectionate, lavishing love and affection on those she trusts. Unlike her brothers, Jannie enjoys her downtime and cuddling. Jannie will make a peaceful little nesting spot out of just about anything, be it a chair, a scratcher, or a cat tree.
