Meet Janet, the 6 month old black and white kitty! She came in with her friends Jack and Chrissy as a stray. No doubt these three got into all kinds of funny shenanigans outside, but now they are looking for a safe and quiet home. This company of cats have been a little shy here at the shelter, but they are slowly coming out of their shell. They will do well in a home where they have time to decompress and get used to their environment. With some TLC and patience, Janet could become your new best friend! Janet is available for preadoption—come meet her, fall in love, and take her home after her spay surgery! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
