Jane's Story

Hi, I'm Jane.

And today June 13th happens to be my very first birthday.

I came into this world at the shelter, born to my mama Pepper, who is also here with the rescue. My start wasn't easy. I lost my brother, and things were uncertain for a while. But I am not the kind of girl who gives up. I fought, I stayed, and here I am one year old, full of opinions, and absolutely ready for whatever comes next.

From the very beginning, I made myself known. While other kittens waited to be noticed, I was already at the front of the room greeting volunteers, climbing up on anyone who would hold still long enough, and reminding everyone that shoulder rides are an underrated form of transportation. People are my favorite. I will climb you like a tree, settle in like I own the place, and purr like I've been waiting my whole life to find you. (I have. One year is a long time.)

I grew up running with 150 other cats yes, one hundred and fifty and I held my own just fine. I'm social, I'm adaptable, and I get along with most everyone. I do have one small leadership philosophy: I prefer to be in charge. If someone forgets that, a gentle thump on the head usually clears things up. It's not personal. It's just management.

I can go home with cats or without them. What I truly need is people a family who wants a cat who will show up for them every single day, enthusiastically and without reservation.

I've already survived the hard part. Now I'm just looking for my soft landing and someone to spend the next chapter with.

Could that be you?

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. The Rescue Pack's Adoption Policy
If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
