Jackie's Story

Jackie, a beautiful 1.5-year-old calico, came to us alongside another cat thanks to the efforts of a compassionate individual working to trap and rescue cats abandoned along Route 22, with support from Spay a Stray. Despite the uncertainty she's faced, Jackie has shown a gentle, observant nature, quietly taking in the safety and care around her. Her journey reflects the importance of community rescue work, and like so many others saved from difficult circumstances, Jackie is slowly learning to trust and embrace the possibility of a loving forever home.

Adopters have to complete an application that includes personal references and a veterinary reference. I have volunteers that check on the references, and we confirm that they have properly vetted prior pets. They also have to detail other pets in their current household, and confirm that they will not declaw.
