Iverson's Story
Meet Iverson!

His name means "son of Iver" and it is derived from Old Norse roots and it signifies
"warrior" and it also symbolizes strength. And we find this name very fitting for him since he was found outside as a stray in the middle of February, in the brutal cold, on the streets of Chicago with an injured leg. He is a true survivor and we are so happy that we were able to take him in and help him! Iverson is medically cleared for adoption and he is now ready to find his forever loving home!

He is neutered, up-to date on his FVRCP and Rabies vaccines and he is FeLV negative.

Iverson is FIV positive. This just means that there are some extra steps to keeping him healthy. FIV can weaken the cat's immune system. While FIV-positive cats can enjoy long, healthy lives, they can be hit harder by secondary infections. Please feel free to ask our Heartland Team for a more in-depth overview.

He is currently staying at our Heartland Facility! We are open Thursday 4 pm-7 pm, Friday 4 pm-7 pm, Saturday Noon-6 pm, and Sunday Noon-6 pm. Feel free to stop by to meet him! No appointment necessary.
