Irma's Story

Born December 2023

Hi there, I'm Irma!

My story starts outdoors, where I was doing my best to get by. Last July, I found my way to the humane society — pregnant and ready for a safer chapter. Not long after, I became a mom, and let me tell you, I took that job seriously. I nursed and cared for my babies with everything I had, watching them grow strong before they went off to find their own families. It was a lot of love to give, and I gave it all.

Once my babies were settled, it was finally my turn.

Now I'm living in a foster home, and I've settled in beautifully. I get along fine with the other cats here — I'm polite, I keep the peace — but if I'm honest, I'm a people cat through and through. My humans are who I really want to spend my time with.

My days are simple and I like them that way. You'll find me curled up in a cat tree by the window, watching the world go by. When the mood strikes, I love a good pounce — imaginary bugs on the floor, mysterious lumps under the blankets, nothing is safe from my hunting skills. And when it's time to wind down, there's nothing I love more than scritches on my head and neck, followed by settling in at the foot of the bed, tucked right up against my favorite human's legs.

What I'm looking for is a quiet, adult-only home where I can really relax into being loved. I'd be thrilled to be someone's one and only girl, but I'm also open to sharing my space with another calm, respectful cat, as long as they understand I'm mostly here for the humans.

I've done my share of hard work and taken care of others. Now I'm ready for someone to take care of me.

Could that someone be you?

If you are interested in meeting this cat, please fill out an application on our website!

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. Our adoption fee is $300 per cat.

All have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age.

If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
