Iredale's Story

Hi, my name is Iredale. If you're looking for the total kitten package (playful, cuddly, curious, and sweet) then I'm your girl. I love chasing toys, wrestling with my siblings, Inky and Izzy, and curling up on your lap for a nap afterward. I've got a little bit of everything that makes kittens wonderful.
I'm an all-black beauty with a sleek, shiny coat and I make expressive little faces that my foster mom says are impossible not to laugh at. Even though black cats are sometimes hard to photograph, she insists I have the best expressions of all my siblings. I was also born with only half a tail, with a bit of a kink in it which gives me a little extra charm. I'm medium-to-brave in personality. I came out of my carrier quickly in foster care and adjusted well. Although like any kitten, I can be cautious about unfamiliar things at first. Once I've had a little time to settle in, I become playful, affectionate, and very involved in whatever you're doing. I have a normal amount of kitten energy and a wonderfully balanced personality. I enjoy active playtime, but I also genuinely love cuddling. I'm very likely to become a lap cat. I already love sleeping on laps or curled beside my foster mom on the couch between adventures. I'm also known for climbing directly onto her lap while she's working at her desk... usually with my very sharp little talons fully deployed. I was the first of my siblings to start purring, and I especially love belly rubs when I'm sleepy. Set me on your lap with some affection, and my purr motor starts almost immediately. I can be held upside down depending on my mood: sometimes I melt into cuddles, and other times I decide there are far more important things to explore, like climbing into your shoulders. I'm very quiet overall, only making little cries if I can't find my siblings and get lonely. I'm perfectly litter box trained and very easy to care for thanks to my short, low-maintenance coat. I briefly met a dog and wasn't entirely convinced, but I'm young enough that I could adapt with patient introductions. The best way to my heart is simple: play with me, let me curl up beside you afterward, and give me lots of cheek and chin skritches. My siblings are Izzy and Inky, and we'd make a wonderful pair if you're looking for two loving companions.

This cats/kittens are at the Petco listed below.
