Hercules's Story

Hercules is a "wise guardian." He takes on the role of protector, as a mature cat is often more serene, prefers to choose when and with whom to cuddle, making each snuggle session feel special.

Hercules arrived here at Critical Care Kitten Coalition back in May 2024 as a skinny, but large, feral with a lacerated arm. He required getting neutered and spending a few months in a cage in order to get him healed, then to properly socialize him. He eventually graduated to his own room and now walks the entire rescue without issue.

Though his ears and body are covered in scars, showing the hard life he has left behind, he is now a 20-pound lap kitty, who LOVES to be pet and get scritches.

Hercules is now incredibly sweet. Since he can get overstimulated, his ideal home is one without children or young teens. He's great around other cats. Dogs might be alright too, as long as they're not "yappers".

To meet any of our kitties, an Adoption application is required prior to making an appointment. You can download our Adoption Inquiry Application at https://CriticalCareKittenCoalition.org, then scroll down to Match-Making Application

NOTE: There's a nonrefundable $30 per person ($50 for two or more) "meet" fee, which will be deducted from the adoption fee/s if there's a match. This fee is not negotiable and due only if a meet-appointment is offered. The amount is to help our rescue while discouraging those just wanting to just come and play with kitties. (If you are just wanting to play with the kitties, you are welcome to complete our volunteer application, also found on our website)

Adoption fee: $80

Critical Care Kitten Coalition's Adoption Policy
We require our Match-Making application to be completed and submitted to the email address listed on the application. If we only receive the PetFinder interest info, we will respond requesting our application. Because our emails tend to be routed to the Spam folder, we depend on potential clients having their phone number listed in PetFinder. Otherwise, we scrap the interest card after 3 weeks. We have a five-stage adoption process: Stage 1: We must receive our adoption application, completed in full and signed Stage 2: If all looks good, a phone interview will be conducted where we will get to know each other a bit more and we might establish an appointment Stage 3: Pay a nonrefundable fee to meet the kitties. It's $30 for one person, $50 for two or more. This fee is paid through our website under Save A Kitten. If there's a match, the Meet and Greet fee will be deducted from the adoption fee (Note: Do not pay this until after the phone interview). Stage 4: Once payment is received, you will receive a text with our address as confirmation of the appointment, and Stage 5: Meeting the adoptable kitties. (Questions are strongly encouraged, but because who you come here for may not be who you adopt, please wait to ask questions until you are here)

Our Mission
We are a "safe place" medical rescue/adoption agency for furry family members. We take the kittens they deem as too expensive or too contagious by rescues of WA state who would normally euthanize.
