Meet Henry

Name: Henry

Age: About 5 years

Breed: Tabby

Reason for being at shelter: Owner passed away

Description: Update: There’s a new discovery about Henry’s gifts and abilities. When tossed a treat, he will catch it in midair with his mouth. Now how’s that for talent. Or is he just the cleverest treat monger there is? Henry also likes to play as described by his foster mom.

Henry is a male tabby with a light orange/buff colored coat and is about 5 years old. He’s a little reserved but quickly turns into a love bug. He’s been known to compete for lap space and wants his fair share of time on people’s laps. Every day brings more bravery to Henry. When someone enters the room, he pokes his head out from his bed to check them out. He’s eager for love and curious if you also bring treats. Henry is a nice kitty.

Henry is one of a household of cats that were taken into a foster home after the owner passed away. The owner loved them a lot but as his health faded, he was no longer able to properly care for the cats anymore. They were in rough shape, severely underweight, and flea infested. Since being placed into a foster home, they have done really well and have mostly recovered from their poor health plight and are now ready for adoption. These cats have lived together since they were kittens. Although only two of the group, Jasper and Ted, are actual littermates, they all get along well and are sociable with each other. They are all very sweet and easily make friends despite some initial shyness. They would benefit most from being adopted as pairs or by joining other cat(s) in a home. This group lived in an adult household. Their exposure to dogs and/or kids is unknown but is probably unlikely so they would do best in an adult home.
