Henry found himself in our local public shelter as a stray. He had a terrible ear infection, which is not cleared up but leaves an adorable head tilt. He's a shy cat but once he gets comfortable he enjoys cuddles, and lap time. He likes a good window to watch the birds and a good wand toy.
Henry has tested FIV positive, likely from his previous life living on the streets. This is not a reason for worry as FIV+ cats can live long and healthy lives with regular vet care. FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds and mating, not by grooming or sharing resources. FIV positive and negative cats can peacefully cohabitate without any risk.
All of our adoptable pets have their age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, feline leukemia and fiv test, spay or neuter surgery and a microchip.
We have no public facility, but operate with a network of dedicated foster parents and volunteers. To respect the privacy of our foster parents we do require an approved application to visit any of our fostered animals.
