Meet Hekate (AKA Hek) - Pending Adoption
Hekate (Hek) is an incredibly loving 1.5 year old cat looking for her forever home. Despite her difficult start in life, she has come a long way.
She has been through a lot in her short life. Her brother had a stroke due to parasites when they were only 4 months old. As a result, he required 24-hour care. They became the best of friends but then as he grew, he began to push her out of the way when eating, thus preventing her from getting enough food. During this time, the bond with her brother was broken and she became very depressed until she was moved to a different foster home where she came back to life. She loves having her back scratched, getting belly rubs, eating treats, and playing with other cats.
She loves to walk in circles around her caregiver's legs purring, having her butt scratched, and getting treats. She is incredibly loving once she warms up to people, she just takes a little time to warm up to new people. She does well with other cats but should not be around strong alphas, as she is a bit timid and easily intimidated. Once she trusts a person, she lets you know it with endless purring and rubbing against your legs.
