Meet Hazel
Hazel's mom was being deployed and didn't have anyone to care for her kitty. FOPAS was able to step in and now we're trying to help find this sweet girl a new home.
Do you want a best friend? Are you a dog person but love the sound of an old woman? Then Hazel is the one for you! Hazel is one of the sweetest cats I have ever met. Within the first hour of her being fostered, she was on my lap and purring like crazy. It felt like I was the visitor in her apartment, she instantly felt at home. She will come running anytime you open a door because she has to know what is going on and loves to explore. She’s almost like a dog, always by your side and interested in what you are doing. She has some funny tendencies like sitting like the Sphinx with her arms straight out and meowing like an old woman (she is a young 6 years old!). We have lovely conversations because she can be quite chatty! She loves getting pet, but has some trouble retracting her claws so once you get her going, she may need a minute to get untangled from the blanket after making biscuits! She is truly one of the most unique, sweet, and social cat I’ve ever met, I can’t wait for her to find her forever home
Hazel is on urinary food because she is prone to crystals. She will need to stay on this food to keep her healthy, because of this, Hazel is a candidate to be a Permanent Foster. That means, you provide this sweet girl a loving home and we'll pay for her food and health care.
