Hawkeye

Hawkeye is a nubby tail 4 year old orangie who is ready to find his furever home! He came to us feral. We aren't going to beat around the bush. He would hiss, growl, swat and if he was really scared he would poop before he ran away. He didn't trust anybody and would make his fear known to everybody. After watching other kitties get attention (and push up treats) for 3 years, he started to let his defenses down. He began to open up to certain people and that was the start of his transformation. <br/><br/>Hawkeye now allows most people pet him and booty scratches are his favorite. He will headbutt you if you are giving others attention, just in case you didn't see him. He sometimes gets scared and goes up on the shelves in his room and hisses as us. He doesn't try to hurt us and doesn't run- we have learned that is his way of telling us that he needs some space and he will come to us when he is ready!<br/><br/>Hawkeye has spent half of his life at the shelter, we would absolutely love if he could find his furever home with a family who is willing to let him come to them.
