HANNAH*'s Story
Meet Juniper & Hannah, the bonded pair of brown tabby girls! Both gals came into the Shelter with four other cats. Upon arrival to the Shelter in December, all six cats tested positive for ringworm (a fungal infection). They spent time in a foster home getting extra TLC and treatment for the ringworm. The whole group has now been cleared medically and are ready to find the purrrfect adoptive home. Their foster reports: “Juniper and Hannah are shy sisters who seem standoffish but secretly love love. They take quite a while to warm up and startle easily so they would be best with a patient adopter who has a relatively quiet home environment. You’ll need to let them come to you over a period of a few weeks, but they really are lap cats! Hannah has a bit of orange in her coat. She is the more outgoing of the two and loves to play chase with other cats, while Juniper (black and silver tabby) enjoys being held with her paws on your shoulders once she gets to know you. Juniper and Hannah have always been closely bonded and would derive much comfort from being adopted together. Bonus: you’ll get to watch them cuddle with each other for hours on end” Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
