Meet Gwen
Gwen was adopted about 5 years ago to be a companion for a grandmother. She passed away and the grandson tried to hold onto her, but finances did not allow him to keep her.
She is sweet, but can be opinionated. She has no trouble telling you to back off. She is better in a home as an only pet without dogs and small children.
Gwen is around 5.5 years old. She likes the top of cat trees and sun bathing. She prefers fish to chicken type foods. She is OK with bring picked up for short periods of time.
If you are looking for a quiet companion to lounge around with you, Gwen is your girl.

Meet Gwen, who is looking for her new home:
"Hi friends, my name is Gwen and I've got a little bit of a sad story. My mom had me since I was a kitten but, you see, she passed away. Her family tried to take care of me, but you know, a girl has needs and I was a little bit too expensive for them to be able to keep me (I didn't even get the Prada purse I wanted). I even tried to apply for this thing called AARP to get discount meals to try and help but they told me at 5.5 years old, I wasn't old enough - or maybe it was because I'm a cat, I'm really not sure. So, I packed my bags and headed to Cat Matchers to find a new family. I'm a sweet girl at heart, but I can also stand my ground and will let you know if I'd prefer some space. Sometimes I just want to sunbathe on my cat tree in peace, I don't think that's too much to ask. Because of that, I'd prefer to be an only pet in a house without small children. Those little guys move pretty fast and I'm just not so sure how I feel about that. I'll allow my family to pick me up in short bursts, but I'm an independent woman whose boots were made for walking, so I do prefer to get around on my own 4 paws. Since I have only the most exquisite of taste, I do prefer seafood meals over poultry so, if you're looking for a lounging companion where I can have the surf and you can have the turf, I'm your gal!"
