Grover is from Waverly. His owner passed away and his friend was to care for him and find him a new home. Instead the "friend" dumped Grover outside to fend for himself. Luckily a neighbor to the man who died recognized Grover and took him in. She could not keep him so he is a Waverly Pet Rescue cat now. We worked with CBHS to rescue Grover, grateful for their help! Percy is now is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and neutered.

Grover is about a year old as of March 2021. Grover is a silky black cat with a little white fur on his chest and belly. He was very shy when he first got to his foster home and needed to have a safe spot. He is very friendly and loves attention, but he’s nervous when a person is standing over or walking around him. If you are sitting and or at his level he loves to be petted, played with and to be brushed. He gets along great with other cats and is not aggressive towards anyone what-so-ever. He gains a lot of comfort and confidence from having a buddy, so he definitely needs to be adopted into a loving family with a sweet, playful buddy. He came to WPR with foster buddy Percy if someone is looking for two awesome kitties. Grover may be a little more reserved but his subtle sweet ways are so endearing it’s impossible not to fall in love with him!

Grover's adoption fee is $95.00.

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
