Gracie's Story

Gracie: Born 06/18/2019, Female, Dilute Tortie Persian
Adoption Fee: $300

Fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz, Ca.
Contact Harriet at email: harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com if you have additional questions. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found at https://purebredsplus.org/Our Cats .

A woman loved her three beautiful cats and took good care of them. As sometimes happens, she unfortunately died suddenly and without enough warning to make plans for her precious kitties. Her caregiver had to quickly get them out of her apartment by the end of the month. I am not sure how long they were alone in the apt but it was quite a while. I am a Persian cat lover and the owner of these kitties lived in my town. Who is going to help these kitties, I thought, if not Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue? They were going to have to go into the local shelter. I agreed to take them.

Gracie at 7-8 yrs old is the youngest of these three. The vet office she was taken to has closed and we don't have her paperwork so we took her to our vet and she checked out fine. At a tiny 6.4 pounds she is a silky little treasure. Midnight and Olivia are 11 and 12 yrs old and we have all their records including a current blood panel for each (their kidneys are fine!) And they have recently had a dental and their teeth are in great shape. They are surprisingly healthy, trouble free, senior kitties. However, to our surprise, we found that little Midnight had not been spayed, so we have gotten that done for her.

Gracie is a little minx. She is smart and full of determination and curiosity; you can see it in her face. Initially shy she soon came right out of her shell and showed what a darling she is. You can tell these three Persians were used to being well loved. Gracie is a dilute tortie - all soft colors with bright gold eyes. She loves being admired and petted and fussed over. She will be a warm soft companion for some lucky family, entertaining everyone with her engaging and playful personality.

Olivia is super outgoing. From the minute she arrived she was ready to ask for pets and enjoy her new human friends. She is very much the social butterfly. Her facial markings identify her as a Chimera Cat – she has a different color on each side of her face, which makes her very special kitty. Oli is an utter delight. She will greet strangers at the door and devote herself to making you smile. She is irresistible.

Little Midnight was the shy one of the three. She was always looking out at us from her hiding place with her little pink tongue sticking out. Everyone said OMG look at her -so cute. She still sticks her tongue out all the time. To my surprise she suddenly stopped hiding and there she was right there wanting petting. These are super nice little kitties. Gracie needs to go to a home with other friendly cats. Olivia and Midnight need to stay together in their new home. All three could go home together, of course.

Persians need for their family to be with them in their home much of the time. They live for loving their humans. Classic Persians if you give them a home. they will give you their hearts.

Gracie is: Neutered/Spayed, Vaccinated, FELV Tested, Dewormed, Microchipped, Wet Food, Dry Food, Litter Box Perfect

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish me and create an ideal forever home.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
