Meet Giselle

Must be adopted with mop top

Meet Giselle. She is a georgous medium hair brown tabby with the biggest fluffy foxtail. She is playful, social, outgoing, and loves to be picked up and snuggled. She cuddle sleeps with her foster. She has a relaxed, friendly, and easy going nature. Giselle's favorite toys are feather wands, dangle strings, jingle balls, rattle balls, ping pong balls, plastic springs, and her brother's tail. Anything that rolls, bounces, or flips in the air is fair game. Giselle is bonded to her brother Mop Top. We know it's a big ask, but they need to be adopted together. Both Giselle and Mop Top have eye conditions which are explained below. Both can see very well and their eye conditions do not limit their abilities or activities and do not require any special accomidations in the home. Giselle is excellent with her litter box, uses the various kitten scratches and trees at her fosters, and is an easy feeder. She is up to date on all age appropriate kitten vaccs, spayed, and microchipped. Giselle is lovingly fostered in Northwest Orlando FL.

EYELID AGENESIS
Giselle and her brother Mop Top both have an eye condition called Eyelid Agenesis. It is a lack of formation of the upper eyelids and often occurs during gestsation. It is on both their eyes but luckily only on half of each eye. Unfortunately hairs growing at the edge of each eye which is missing part of upper eye lid is rubbing against the surface of their eyes causing irritation. You know what it feels like to have a piece of dirt or eyelash in your eye? Imagine what it feels like to have multiple hairs rubbing your eyes all the time. Both get an eye ointment to help their comfort level. When they are 6 months of age they will be old enough for a procedure called cryoepilation. This involves freezing the skin and hair follicles to remove the hair that is rubbing against the eyes. This is done under anesthesia. The procedure will not fix the current shape or appearance of their eyes, but it will alleviate eye lash and hair irritation. The Pixel Fund will cover initial cryoepilation procedure for each kitten. Any future procedures if needed moving forward will be the responsibility of adopter.
