+++++++++++++++++++++++

Ginger is the type of kitty who will see you lying in bed and jump up and cuddle next to you. She’ll immediately start purring, and then she’ll burrow herself into your covers.

She isn’t huge into playing with toys, but she will occasionally play with a rubber band or a crinkle toy. Ginger is a little anxious around other cats, but she will tolerate them. She doesn’t really want to play with them, though. She prefers humans by far.

She's had a great life, but her parents are splitting up and can’t take her with them. She's hoping for a quiet and loving home. It’s important to note that Ginger is strictly an indoor cat, and we would never want to have her adopted by anyone who would let her outside.

CHARACTERISTICS: Quiet, Alert, Independent, Outgoing, Affectionate, Cuddly / Snuggly, Loving but independent (on their own terms), Gives Head Bumps, Likes Rubbing, Likes Being Scratched, Purrs A Lot / Always Purring, Can be held BUT on only own their terms, Graceful, Kingly (or Queenly), Moody

If I was on a dating app, my pickup line would be: Likes Netflix, snacks, and long afternoon naps.

In a human companion, I’m looking for: Kindness, pets, and treats.

In an animal companion (house-mate): I'm looking to be left alone (by other cats).

Lots of people say: I love to cuddle on the bed, prefer not to be around dogs, and I'll let you know when I want pets or shy away if I don’t.

It’s important to set reasonable expectations when bringing any new cat home. We offer the Rule of Threes.
3 DAYS: To decompress
3 WEEKS: To get familiar with your house and its routines
3 MONTHS: To settle in and feel like they’re home

Adding a new animal to your household can be a whirlwind of an experience for many owners. There is a lot of change happening for your new cat, so it’s not uncommon for the cat’s behavior to change accordingly. They may be acting in ways you’ve never seen before, and this can be discouraging.

These “rules” are estimated marker points where you may see behavioral changes from your new cat.
SEE https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/ to learn how long it may take to acclimate your cat to their new home.

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:
