Meet Gimpy- Manx Syndrome- Special Needs

Prior to visiting us, please complete an adoption application for approval. www.heretotherescue.weebly.com

Our focus is on outdoor cats that do poorly outdoors so all cats must be adopted as indoor-only companions and are not to be declawed. If you are interested in a barn/garage cat to keep you company and help with pest control, we do have a barn cat program available as well. Thank you!

GImpy will receive a health check prior to going home.

This very lovely little boy is Gimpy! Gimpy is on the prowl for his forever home, and he is sure hoping for someone who loves small talk and big cuddles as much as he does!
Unfortunately, Gimpy has Manx Syndrome and suffering from Spina Bifida. Taking on a special needs kitty takes a whole lot of heart, but the amount of love this sweetheart has to give is unmatched! Due to his condition, Gimpy does walk rather bow-legged and from time to time will lose control of his sphincter muscles and have an accident. We know that getting Gimpy adopted may be a long shot, but we are certain he is worth it and we hope you will think so too!
Gimpy is a social, sweet guy who loves to be affectionate! Though he is friendly, Gimpy is going to need a family who will give him ample time to settle in to his new home and acclimate to a brand new environment! Change can be very scary, and our nice boy can get intimidated easily.
Gimpy loves the company of other kitties, and would really like a home with a friend or two to adventure with! Gimpy has trouble with getting easily bullied by other kitties due to his very gentle nature, so we need to be sure he will be in a home with other easy-going friends! Gimpy also gets along well with dogs, too!
We would also highly recommend a home with older children due to the fact that Gimpy can be overwhelmed around lots of noise or rough handling.
The best thing about Gimpy- he is such a little chatter box! He needs to be sure you know he is there, and he just has so much to say! Briggs will just carry on about the newest movies, the hottest songs, and, of course, the birds outside, too! Luckily Gimoy doesn't follow politics, so you won't have to worry about heated arguments breaking out when opinionated guests come to visit!

We are a small non-profit organization run on volunteers and donations. Due to this we ask that adoption fees are donation based, with a minimum of $50 to cover spay/neuter, Rabies & Distemper vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick/ear mite medication and any other medical treatment needed. Prior to attempting to visit us please complete an adoption application for approval.
