Gibbsy is a very special boy who has had a rough start in life and truly deserves all the wonderful things the world has to offer. He was found by the rescue's director in the back room of a shelter, isolated from others due to a severe eye infection. His eyes were painful and ulcerated, and it was clear he needed a loving home to recover and socialize with kittens his age.

With the dedication of his foster family and his growing trust, Gibbs has blossomed into a social, affectionate cat who now greets guests at the door, hoping for pets or a treat. Though he’s a quiet boy, he has excellent house manners and a particular fondness for wet food, chirping in anticipation of his favorite meals.

In his foster home, Gibbs has taken on the role of the official kitten nanny. He enjoys doting on the younger kittens, grooming them, gently playing with them, or cuddling up for naps in one of the many perches around the house. Gibbs is so sweet that he even shares his food with the younger kittens when they come over to eat after finishing their own meals. He can often be found basking in the sun with at least one kitten, either napping or grooming each other peacefully.

Gibbs is one of the rescue's biggest success stories, a true testament to the power of love and care in transforming lives. He has evolved from a rough piece of coal into a beautiful gem—sweet, playful, loving, and always a peacemaker. Gibbs is a true gentleman who deserves a human of his very own.

** Gibbs MUST go to a home with another cat. (Adopt a 2nd kitty from us with Gibbs for ½ the adoption fee!) He needs an indoor-only home with plenty of space to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. Gibbs will thrive in a family that can provide him with lots of love, attention, and playtime.

He does great with other cats, ignores dogs, and does well with respectful older children. Gibbs is also litter box trained.
