Meet Gary & Jack
You'll find a picture of me with my pal Jack on this page. I'm the younger, slimmer and better looking of the two of us (if I do say so myself). I guess since you're reading this, you're looking for a cat, which is great because we're looking for a forever home. I've been with Jack for most of my 6 years, and I really need to stay with him. We're pals! We like to hang out together, sleep together, and have a few sparring matches. I have to keep the old guy on his toes!
We've been in a foster home for a while now, but I am more than ready to find myself a new permanent family. It's been said that I'm shy and timid. I like to get to know a human before I show them the real me. My foster Mom says I'm a real quirky guy who can be a bit nuts. I like to mix it up...time for lounging, time for playing, you know how that goes. You're going to have to wait a while before you see the real me, but then I'm all yours!
My sort of humans – well I'll be honest, I'm not keen on really small humans – they're kind of noisy and run around – guess I am skittish because they make me nervous. Bigger kids I love! They like to play and pet me, and I like that a lot!
Jack and I like to be the only animals in a household. We don't like dogs, thank you and who needs more than 2 cats?
Hi, my name is Jack!
I have no clue what Gary has said about me, but I'll guess it's mostly wrong – that kid thinks he's in charge! Ha, see how far we would get if that was the case! I've been caring for Gary now for a while, and he needs me. He's pretty timid and shy and doesn't do well in new situations. However, when he gets settled, he gets crazy! He loves to chase balls around the place, play with sticks, you name it. I'm done with all that stuff. I like a quiet peaceful life – a nice human to share my couch with in the evening and someone to brush my fur and keep me in good shape. In return, I'll purr all day, and you can pet me for just as long as you like.
We are both really excited about getting a new forever home. Our foster Mom says we're about the perfect pets...low maintenance: a bit of goofing around with Gary and his toys, a comfortable couch to sleep on, oh and food (I do like my food!) That's all we need! Of course, some serious petting would be great too please.
Please email email@example.com or submit a completed application to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in adopting one of our fabulous cats!
All cats adopted through GDHS have tested negative for feline leukemia, have current distemper and rabies inoculations, and adults are spayed/neutered.
Note: Local candidates are always given preferential treatment and calls outside of the New England states will not be returned. We will NEVER ship any of our animals regardless of the suitability of the prospective home.
