Gaia's Story

Meet our relaxing family — Mama Gaia and her 5 kids: the only son Zen and his 4 sisters Prana, Karma, Shanti and Chakra!

If you are interested in our kittens and would like to arrange the meet and greet at fosters homes, please complete the adoption application using the following link (copy & paste it into your browser) https://form.jotform.com/82828565257166
or text us for more info at (908) 986-2505
Our cats and kittens are allowed to be adopted anywhere in NYC/NJ/Long Island.
Please note, all our kittens under 6 months old are available in pairs only or to the home with another cat/cat friendly dog. Bonded pairs will not be split up.

This beautiful family is now accepting pre-adoption applications and will be ready to join their forever homes around June 10, 2026.

Early morning on April 2nd, we woke up not only to cold pouring rain, but also to a frantic phone call. The woman on the other end was hysterically crying as she tried to explain the situation. For the past week, she had been feeding a fluffy stray cat who refused to leave her yard, almost as if she was trying to ask for help.

That morning, she found the mama cat giving birth on the rocks in the open — no shelter, no enclosure, not even the box she had left outside for her. Gaia was trying to protect her newborn babies with her own exhausted, freezing body.

We immediately rushed to the location, gently placed mama — now named Gaia — into a carrier, gathered her tiny newborns, and drove them straight to their foster home, where the entire family was placed safely into an incubator. We prayed through every hour, hoping they would pull through. Slowly, Gaia realized she and her babies were finally safe.

We don’t know what happened to Gaia or who betrayed her. But it’s clear this sweet girl has experienced hardship in her past. Despite everything, she is gentle, loving, and devoted to her babies.

We hope to find Gaia a patient and understanding home where she will finally feel safe and loved on her own terms. It would be amazing if Gaia could be adopted together with one of her kittens.

The babies are absolutely wonderful — social, playful, affectionate, and full of kitten energy and joy! They can be adopted in pairs or into homes with another friendly cat they can bond with (or, as mentioned above, one lucky kitten can go home with Mama Gaia).
