Meet Fennessy
Fennessy came from one of the colonies. This boy was dumped a little over a year ago when he was about 9 months old. At that time, we trapped, neutered, and returned him to this colony.
He’s a gentle soul, and the other cats in that colony would beat him up on a regular basis. He always had scratches on his nose ( See pic). It was always difficult leaving him behind. He was shy with his caretakers until he got to know them and then he was always happy to see them, letting them hold, love, and kiss him. It was always difficult leaving him behind.
Recently, one of the caretakers moved away, she was told that she could select a cat from the colonies to come into our adoption program and she selected him. In her honor, we named him after her.
At his vet exam, closer examination of his mouth confirmed he had severe juvenile periodontal disease. So, off to the kitty dentist he went and 26 teeth were removed! We were happy to be able to help him and make him more comfortable. Imagine, living outside and having dental pain. How terribly sad.
Fennessy is looking for his forever home. Fennessy is about 2 years old, very shy at first. He loves other cats and once he gets to know you, he will be your best friend. Because of his shy nature, a home without young children will be best for him. There is too much activity in our office for him and he tends to keep to seek comfort being with one of the other cats. As you can see, he is really cute and so gentle. He’s never hissed or growled. He’s just a wonderful, wonderful boy.
