FABIO (Neutered!) Tabby Crossville, TN

This handsome buff male tabby named FABIO arrived at the shelter in late December. He is estimated at two years of age. He has a very sweet face and is getting along beautifully with the other male cats in the Intake building. He was adopted in February along with another male cat and both were neutered at that time. Both of the cats were scared when they got to their new location. The other one started spraying, which is not uncommon in a male cat until all of the testosterone has left his body. This can take about 30 days, give or take. FABIO then sprayed over where the other cat had sprayed and ended up biting the owner because he was stressed. As you can imagine, the new family was unable to keep the two boys in their house until the 30 days is up and the testosterone issue is resolved. FABIO is a wonderful cat and might actually make a great indoor/outdoor cat. Staff has listed him as a possible barn cat on his cage card as a result. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt FABIO. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially in animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
