Evangelina's Story

I'm not everyone's cup of tea... and I'm perfectly okay with that.

Hi, I'm Evangelina, a 2-year-old brown-and-black tabby with bright yellow eyes and long white whiskers. My body is a little barrel-shaped, my legs are a little short, and if the staff tells you I don't stay still for photos, they're telling the truth. I'm usually too busy exploring, playing with my toys, or checking out what's going on around me.

I've been waiting at the shelter since May 14 after my owner surrendered me, and so far I've had absolutely no interest. I think that's because my perfect person just hasn't found me yet.

I'm an independent girl, and I like affection on my own terms. I'm not the cat who's going to ask to be carried around, and that's okay. I know there are people out there who appreciate a cat with confidence and personality.

I love exploring, batting toys around, and checking out everything that's going on. After I've satisfied my curiosity, I'm happy to find a comfy spot and relax. I'm good with other cats, I'm litterbox trained, and I have plenty of goofy moments that keep everyone smiling.

I know I'm not for everyone, but I don't have to be. I'm looking for my person, someone who understands that the best relationships are built on mutual respect and who will love me exactly the way I am.

If that sounds like you, I can't wait to meet you. I have a feeling you'll fall for my goofy personality.

Spayed

Microchipped and ready to go home with no geographical adoption restrictions.

Adoption Fee: $35

Stafford County Animal Shelter
26 Frosty Lane
Stafford, VA 22554

540.658.7387

Adoption Hours:
Monday through Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We welcome walk-in adoptions.
