Meet Elke

Please meet Elke. Elke is a 10-year-old grey and white fluff ball, "built for snow" as her foster mom says. This girl has not had the easiest time recently. She lived in the same home for all of her life with her mom and other cats until recently when her mom passed away. When she entered TCC care with her feline ‘friends’ we realized they were not actually very friendly toward each other! The two kitties were separated so they could get some of the one on one human time they both crave and not need to share attention anymore!

Elke’s foster family has been giving her lots of love and she has really begun to blossom. While Elke may be a senior in age she is young at heart. She is extremely playful and active, often running around like her fluffy pants are on fire! Elke will jump anywhere possible and is quite the adventurer. She loves attention - petting, scratching and brushing are parts of her daily routines! She loves to be wherever her foster family is and is very respectful of their boundaries, never intruding on personal space. While she is not currently a lap cat, she doesn’t mind being picked up, as long as petting is involved! Her foster mom has seen her become more comfortable over the time she’s been with her and she feels that she will continue to thrive with her forever person/family as she settles in and realizes that she is "home." Elke hopes her sweet face and solid manners will warm the heart of the right person/people so they can unpack their suitcases and settle into their forever home.

Elke currently has dental work scheduled for 7/16. Because of this she is currently only available for foster to adopt so that TCC will pay for her dental and anything else that may be required until then. Once she is healed from her dental procedure the family fostering her can officially adopt! If you have any questions about this please don’t hesitate to ask.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online adoption application by copying and pasting the link below:

You will get a quicker response doing this rather than emailing us.

Also please consider fostering as an alternative to adoption: http://thecatconnection.org/get-involved/foster/

We request $100 for each cat 10 and over, $150 for each cat 5-10 years old, $200 for each cat 1-4 years old, and $225 for each kitten under a year old. These fees fund neutering, vaccinations, and combo testing (feline leukemia and FIV) for your adopted cat, rescue efforts, shelter, and veterinary care. Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats. To find out more about us, please visit our web site: http://thecatconnection.org/
