Edwin's Story

Edwin is a 1.5-year-old neutered medium/short hair male cat with a difficult past. He came from a traumatic situation after his previous owner passed away and was initially extremely shut down and fearful. It took about two months for him to feel safe, but with patience and care, he has transformed into a clean, affectionate, and playful companion.

Once he trusts you, Edwin becomes a loving “shadow” who will greet you at the door, follow you around the house, and happily cuddle while you relax. He’s energetic and playful, loves food, enjoys being talked to, and is an excellent little bug hunter with silly, acrobatic bursts of zoomies and parkour.

Edwin does have some trauma-related sensitivities and can be uncomfortable with certain types of touch, so he needs an experienced, patient adopter who understands cats and will let him adjust at his own pace. He would do best in a calm, low-stimulation home that is not loud or chaotic. He seems to prefer the spotlight and not necessarily share it with other cats or dogs, but maybe that can change.

With time and patience, he forms a deeply loyal and unbreakable bond with his person. He will come with his favorite toys and all the comfort items he’s grown attached to.

He’s ready for someone who will give him the patience and love he’s always needed.

Fill out an application directly,
https://www.animalfriendsofct.org/adoption-application
