Meet Echo

Within just a couple of days after coming inside for the first time, I curled up with people and loved the attention so much that I purred as loudly as I could.

I have lots of energy and need someone to help me wear myself out. I love playing with my siblings, but I can keep myself entertained too with a spring toy, a rubber ball, packing paper from a box, and the box! I have trouble sitting still sometimes because everything just looks like so much fun.

Lots of people say I love to: Play, and sometimes I have trouble sitting still, but I'm easily entertained - just take some packing paper from a box and toss it on the floor. I'll be entertained for hours!

I'm in great health and enjoying life, and I'm very excited about finding a forever home. Hopefully my brother will be able to come with me. If not, I hope I will meet a new brother or sister to play with.

CHARACTERISTICS: Happy, Frisky, Active, Smart / Clever, Confident, Outgoing, Good-natured, Friendly, Affectionate, Easy-going, Sweet / Personable, Trusting, Cuddly / Snuggly, Lovable, Loving, Huggable, Likes Rubbing, Purrs A Lot / Always Purring, Particularly Food-motivated, Trainable, Very Playful

If I was on a dating app, my pickup line would be: Hi! Wanna cuddle?!

In a human companion, I’m looking for: Someone who wants to cuddle and pet me while they listen to my loud purr.

In an animal companion (house-mate), I'm looking for: Someone around my age with lots of energy and who likes to play.

Despite my less-than-ideal start in life, I have flourished in FAN's care and: I have decided that I am definitely an indoor cat! I can't even remember what it was like to go outside. I just want to eat, play, and snuggle.

++++++++++++++++++++

We DO usually require adopting two (2) kittens of this age together, so they have company when you’re not around. This offers them a buddy to play with and can help keep the mischief to a minimum. Please let us know if you would like to meet some of this kitten's siblings and friends.

It’s important to set reasonable expectations when bringing any new cat home. We offer the Rule of Threes.
3 DAYS: To decompress
3 WEEKS: To get familiar with your house and its routines
3 MONTHS: To settle in and feel like they’re home

Adding a new animal to your household can be a whirlwind of an experience for many owners. There is a lot of change happening for your new cat, so it’s not uncommon for the cat’s behavior to change accordingly. They may be acting in ways you’ve never seen before, and this can be discouraging.

These “rules” are estimated marker points where you may see behavioral changes from your new cat.
SEE https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/ to learn how long it may take to acclimate your cat to their new home.

All our adoptable cats and kittens are:
— spayed / neutered
— vaccinated (rabies & FVRCP)
— microchipped, if they get lost (and found), they can easily be scanned and reunited with you!
— tested for FIV & FeLV diseases
— parasite-free (dewormer & flea prevention)
— provided additional veterinarian visits, if needed for any health issues
— conveyed to you with all medical records at time of adoption
