Dune's Story

Looking for the ultimate lap cat? Dune may be your perfect match. Dune is a gentle 10-year-old tortie with a quiet, affectionate personality and so much love to give. She was found struggling to survive outdoors in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood, severely underweight at just 5.5 pounds. Since being rescued, she’s absolutely blossomed.

Dune’s favorite place is right beside her people—preferably curled up in a warm lap. She’s calm, sweet-natured, and happiest when soaking up attention and companionship. She gets along well with other cats but would also be perfectly content as your one and only.

Dune has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is parasite-free. She has excellent litter box habits and is ready for a peaceful forever home.

Dune does have early kidney disease, which is currently well managed with prescription food. Many cats live happy, comfortable lives for years with this condition, and we fully expect Dune to continue bringing love and companionship to her future family for a long time to come.

Senior cats are often overlooked, but they make incredibly loving companions. If you’re looking for a calm, devoted cat to share your home with, Dune may be the perfect match.
