Door Dash C12632's Story
Hi, my name is DoorDash!

And yes... there's a story behind that name.

I used to be a neighborhood stray with a very important routine: go house to house, find the food, eat the food, and DASH.

Then I met some people who apparently didn't understand that I was supposed to be a strictly business-only customer. They started feeding me every day, and pretty soon I realized these people had a schedule. I would show up at the same time, and they would have my meal waiting for me. Eventually, I started thinking, "Hmm... maybe these people aren't so bad."

Then they introduced me to Churus. And let me tell you... if someone is willing to hand-deliver Churus, they must be pretty nice people. That was the beginning of my trust issues disappearing one lick at a time.

Slowly, I allowed pets. Then I stopped dashing away immediately after dinner. Then I started hanging around. Before long, I decided their house was no longer just a convenient restaurant, it was my crib.

And now, lucky for me, those same people have become my foster family, and I'm learning just how amazing this whole indoor living thing can be.

I can still be a little unsure at times because, well... I've had to figure a lot of things out on my own. But once I know you're safe, I absolutely love affection.

I'll climb right up next to you on the couch, rub against you when you come into my room, and happily accept all the attention you're willing to give me. I also have a playful side and enjoy being able to just be a cat. No more worrying about where my next meal is coming from! I can also be a little chatty, especially when I have something important to say.

One of my favorite activities is sitting by the window, watching the world outside and reminiscing about my old neighborhood days. I'm sure I'm thinking about all the mice I had to hunt to keep myself fed.

These days, though, I much prefer a comfy couch, a full belly, Churus, and people who love me.

And just so you know, I have excellent litter box habits-because even a former DoorDash delivery driver knows you have to leave a good review.

So if you're looking for a handsome guy who may take a little time to fully trust you but has a whole lot of love waiting underneath that cautious exterior, I might just be your guy.

I may have started out as DoorDash... but I think I'm ready to make my final delivery: myself, straight to my forever home.
