Diamond's Story
102 days & counting!

Diamond, our pretty, petite, and spunky 17-month-old black and white domestic tuxedo girl, is bonded with her sister, Lilo, and they room together here at Calvert Animal Welfare League (CAWL). “Bonded” means they must stay together on their adoption journey, but if you scroll past this bio, you’ll miss out on the prettiest, sweetest, funniest, cuddliest, and most deserving feline duo to hit Petfinder and social media.

Why we love Diamond:
• Cuddle queen alert! Little girl is affectionate to the max, just like her sister. She wants to be pet, will crawl into your lap, and definitely is coming up to sleep with you at night (per her previous foster mama). You can pick her up and hold her.
• Her asymmetrical black face mask is stunning and makes her a perfect complement to her black panther sister.
• She enjoys exploring the hallway outside her room and longs for a world to share with sister and their forever person or people.
• Don’t let her dainty paws fool you – she hangs from the screen on her room door every day so that she doesn’t miss out on all the shelter floor action. Sometimes she climbs on top of the door!
• We hear her calling to us long before we reach her doorway for our caretaking shifts.

Diamond and Lilo know what it is like to have a loving, safe home, only to lose it due to no fault of their own. They were adopted from us as kittens in summer 2025 and returned this spring when their owner’s employment situation suddenly changed. In spite of all they endured, Diamond and her sister demonstrate tremendous resiliency, including super friendly and outgoing dispositions and frolicsome, inquisitive natures. These beauty queens patiently await their second chance.
