DANTE - loves the good life

Meet DANTE!<br/><br/>He is 5.5 months old and a petite 5.2 lbs (as of September 10, 2026)! While we don't know his exact breed, we think he's a tuxedo kitty given his colors. He has gorgeous yellow eyes. We put him down as a ragdoll mix, simply because his affectionate personality and love for cuddles is on par with that breed.<br/><br/>Dante is a special and may we say handsome little guy who has completely opened up over the last couple of weeks with his foster after being rescued as a stray off the street in Puerto Rico! While he always was friendly, he was initially cautious when brought to his new foster home, but now he is a brave, social and affectionate little guy who loves pets and cuddles and loves to play with his foster siblings.<br/><br/>Dante will readily come up to his foster parents when they get home, asking for pets and giving kisses and cuddles. He is very affectionate little guy who, we are confident, will continue to open up even more so. He's only been with his foster for a few weeks and we have seen such an amazing change. He gets more and more cuddly by the day.<br/><br/>Dante is excellent with other cats! He's currently in a home with other social cats and dogs and loves to play or snuggle up! He'd be great in a home with other cats and/or dogs; he just loves interactive company in general. If you are looking for a kitty friend for your current cat, Dante might just be your guy.<br/><br/>He is also OBSESSSED with his toys. We mean obsessed! The more toys he has, the better. He's like a little toddler, testing them all out. He will play with pretty much anything he's given. <br/><br/>Dante loves relaxing in a hammock which might be the "island boy" in him. Just kidding! But he really does love a hammock and will often sit there snoozing. He is so adorable!<br/><br/>Dante is a BIG eater and he especially loves wet food and his daily treats! If he were a dog, he'd probably be a beagle, just eating non-stop (haha!). We think he is taking advantage of the good life now that he no longer has to worry about when his next meal might be.<br/><br/>So far, he's been very amenable to handling, even at the vet! The vet trimmed his nails and did a whole exam on him and he didn't hiss or swat at all.<br/><br/>He is 100% litter box trained.<br/><br/>He hasn't been tested with children yet, but we think he would be fine with respectful children! He has never shown any aggressive behavior toward any human.<br/><br/>In all, Dante is a sweet cat who just simply loves the good things in life - cuddles, food, and relaxing! He is an easy cat!<br/><br/>HIS STORY: Dante was rescued a couple of months ago by our favorite independent cat rescuer who has a cat feeding route and rescues the super adoptable and friendly kittens who we know would be excellent house pets!<br/><br/>He is neutered, 3dx negative, has had his rabies vaccine, FeLV vaccine and his FVRCP vaccine. He is also fecal negative and has been dewormed. He is also microchipped.<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE: Dante is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted. Adoption fees listed here ($300) cover all transport related costs to the States. There are NO other fees. :) <br/><br/>We can arrange transport to many places throughout the U.S., including JFK/EWR/BRD/BOS/PHL/BWI/IAD/DCA/ORD/TPA/MIA and many many more! Any questions?
