She does very well with other kitties, but does not like or trust dogs. This poor thing was live trapped in a neighborhood where the people “didn’t like cats”....and she was there only because her former owner dropped her and her sister “Townie” off to fend for themselves. Probably explains her mistrust in humans. <br/><br/>***********************************************<br/>For more information on our adoption process, please read through the additional notes below. <br/><br/>CAT adoption process-<br/><br/>All cats available for adoption will be vaccinated, utd on rabies (if over 5 months), snap tested (-) for FIV/FeLV, and spayed/neutered (unless specifically noted) prior to adoption. All cats are dewormed regularly and treated with flea and tock prevention. All cats/kittens are litter box trained and and being adopted out as inside cats (unless specifically noted). <br/><br/>KITTEN foster to adopt process-<br/>Please ask about our foster-to-adopt policies for kittens under the age of 6 months, that may be still in the vetting process, and yet to be spayed/neutered. <br/><br/>Adoption fee is $50. Applications should be completed in advance to best expedite the process. We can email paperwork in advance for you to complete prior to setting up appointments to me the animals. <br/><br/>To Help Speed Up Approval Process:<br/><br/>***If you are in a rental property, proof of pet permission by landlord will be required. The lease must state that the rental property allows pets. <br/><br/>***If you have had a pet within the last two years, please out the vet that you used previously as your vet reference.<br/>Make sure to include the person's name that the vet reference is under if it is someone other than the person applying.<br/><br/>***If you have never owned a pet or if it has been over two years, please put a personal reference (someone who knows you will care for the pet) instead of a vet.<br/><br/>Once the initial process is completed, we will set up an appointment to meet the pets) that you are interested in.<br/><br/>The address for our shelter center is 21426 Hwy 82, Union Springs, AL 36089. As our staff is typically busy caring for the animals on site we ask for people to set up an appointment to meet the animals so we can provide you with our full attention and make sure we find you the purrrfect companion!
