Our Mission

We are in need of the following items on a regular basis: Dog food Cat food Cat litter Bleach, Ammonia and laundry detergent Blankets, small area rugs, dog and cat beds The Bullock County Humane Society was incorporated in 2000, and is a 501 c 3 organization. Our mission is to provide a temporary shelter and to find homes for the stray, abandoned and owner surrendered pets in our community, lead the way in promotion of responsible pet ownership, and to educate our community on the benefits having their pets spayed/ neutered. We are active in our community and proudly promote our organization by participating in community events.

Adoption Policy

We have many dogs and cats available at the shelter for adoption! We often have others in foster care if they are too young for shelter life or have other issues which require foster care. Adoption fees vary based on a variety of factors such as age, health, and sterilization status. Adoption fees range from $35 -. We also have occasional feral cats that have been vaccinated and sterilized and are available for barn cats. We are open for visitors Monday- Friday from 10:00am until 3:00pm. We may be available other times by appointment. Our shelter is located at 21426 Highway 82, east of Union Springs, Alabama. Turn on the gravel road under the beige water tower..
