Cleopatra is our new 7 yr old exotic kitty to be ready for her furrever home. She is truly amazing but has come from a sad background. Cleo was surrendered to us after her owner went into hospice. When we found her, she was hiding in an oven drawer, terrified, and matted to such an extent it was heartbreaking to say the least. She had been neglected for what can guess is at least a year, with matted fur that was impossible to remove except at a vet with many many extra hands and professionals. Her skin below the mattes was severely damaged and incredibly painful for her and it tooks several months for us to finally see relief in sight. <br/><br/>Cleo is unbelievably sweet and gentle despite her ordeal. Now, much healthier again, she is finally ready for a new home. She has had all medical done and cleared and just needs a quiet home - no loud kids or pets please. We were told she did at one point have another cat buddy, so that would prob work out, but dogs aren't a good idea. She takes transition hard, so new family would need to have patience and MUST have Persian experience to understand grooming and future care. This is important as her former owner did not care for her properly and we cannot have this happen again as she is far too sweet.
