Meet Cleo
5 year old Cleo would like you to know she is more than just a pretty face. She is a discerning lady who interacts with others on her own terms, and it takes a lot to win her over. Are you up for a challenge? Do you have what it takes to help this beautiful, scared girl feel safe, comfortable and loved?
Cleo was adopted as a kitten about 5 years ago, but recently returned to Wonder Pets Rescue, due to some unwanted biting behavior. In her new foster home, it became apparent that Cleo is not a fan of change, and is exceptionally slow in warming up to her people. Let's be real, if you are looking for an instant snuggle-buddy, this is NOT the kitty for you. Cleo will need a quiet, calm home with an experienced cat person, who is willing to take the time and effort to help her adjust to a new home, however long that will take, and despite any defensive behavior she may exhibit. In her foster home, she took about six weeks of calm, quiet time together before she began trusting her people to come near her without trying to defend herself. Cleo will take her own sweet time becoming comfortable with new people, and is willing to use her claws to let people know when she is done with attention. However, once she decided she could trust her new foster people, Cleo began approaching them regularly. She now regularly begs for affection, petting and snuggles. Cleo previously lived with another cat, but it is thought that she was unkind toward that cat, so she would likely be happiest as an only pet.
Cleo is spayed, microchipped, and current on routine and rabies vaccinations. Her adoption donation is $75.
