Cleah's Story

Rochester, NY and surrounding areas for adoption.

She is 7 years old this year. We do have her birth date and she is spayed. She is very affectionate, likes to watch the birds on her foster home's cat tree. Her owner passed during the first of the year and now Cleah is homeless.

Duffy's sent her to the vet for an updated rabies, distemper and Combo test which was negative.. Cleah has never been outside and are use to quiet home with a senior or couple that does not have any cats or dogs. We prefer to copy what she is use to as far as a home to adopt them to.

The transition to a new home has the usual 72 hour rule. She will come out of hiding per the cat rule, when you move cats - they hide for 72 hours. When transferred to her foster home - she did hide for two days and came out like nothing was wrong and wanted to be loved. She is super affectionate and loves to be in the room of your choice to play with toys, sit next to you or watch the birds outside.

She is funny, smart and is a very clean, no drama cat. Cleah currently is eating Iams cat food dry and fancy feast can. This what the prior owner had so we did not change anything in her foster home. She needs to be the only cat as she was beating up her brother and we split them up so everyone was happy.

To apply please use our online application at:

https://duffysfriends.org

Adoption donation is $125.00 to provide the exam and updated vaccines and combo test.

Cleah is a wonderful cat and the vet first thought by her teeth she was three years old and then we shared her birthdate.

Duffy's Friends Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Duffy's Friends adoption process: We believe in matching pets to families and we accept applications. We review the application and if we think it's a match we will call you immediately. We do not ship dogs long distances so the home must be within driving distance of Rochester, New York. We do require a fenced yard with physical fencing on all sides that is in good shape and connected. No electric fence or boundary training. Children should be 12 years old minimum if they are living in the home with our pet. A long history of owning a dog in your name is very important. Finally, homeownership is a must and we do validate this information by reviewing the tax roles to find the owner of the property. We can not adopt to apartments, condos, or townhomes due to the fenced yard requirement. Dogs under 6 lbs will be considered for a no fenced lifestyle.
