Clay's Story

Clay is a 14 week old male and the smallest of the group—but dont let his size fool you! He plays his baby role well and will happily eat all day if you let him. <br/><br/>Clay is a spirit kitten. Hes shy, but once he gets comfortable, his playful personality shines. He spends his days racing through tunnels, doing karate moves, and entertaining himself with every toy he can find. His absolute favorite is the laser pointer!<br/><br/>Clay isnt ready to be held just yet and will need a patient family willing to give him time to warm up. He can be hissy with other cats at first, but he should warm up with time. He has no experience with dogs or children.<br/><br/>The secret to Clays heart? Halfway Home Cat Rescue Inc.'s Adoption Policy
We have an application and contract which must be approved prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $325 for a kitten and $300 for an adult cat over 2 years old. Receive a $50 discount when you adopt a pair! Adoption fee includes current veterinary care: spay/neuter, vaccinations for age, deworming, flea treatments and leukemia/FIV testing and microchip with registration. We require proof of home ownership or landlord approval prior to adoption.  Our goal is to match kitties with the best home for them. In an effort to avoid Single Kitten Syndrome and provide kittens with the best chance for success, we strongly recommend that kittens under 6-months of age be adopted in pairs or to homes with another cat companion, especially if there aren't household members home regularly to enrich their days through attention and play. Single kittens will be approved for adoption on a case-by-case basis. Adoptions are held at the Rocky's in Ludlow MA select Saturdays, by appointment only! All animals at adoption clinics have up to date health certificates.
