Chuua's Story
Meet Chuua! Talk about personality. Our girl Chuua sure has it! We love this silly, unique, beautiful girl! Chuua is a wonderful cat who has experienced a lot of change in a very short time, yet remains sweeter than pie. Chuua came to Heartland after her owner's wife tragically passed away, leaving her family unable to care for her. A beautiful and outgoing orange tabby? We said 'we will take her'!

When Chuua first arrived, she experienced a couple of seizures. We were hopeful it would be an isolated occurrence, though we soon learned it was not. She had two more that we noticed since then, however, with the switching of her medications, the previous pattern we saw as far as time between seizures is no longer a pattern.

At first, we made Chuua a "lounge cat," so we could keep a closer eye on her. This means her kennel is in our cat lounge, and Chuua had the opportunity to roam (or escape) the lounge, while hanging out with staff, volunteers, and any other shelter visitors. Quickly after moving her into the cat lounge, we discovered what a zest for excitement she has. Chuua is an adventure cat! She loves to explore, play, and zoom across the room at record speeds. She might even be part dog! She is so curious about her surroundings, we decided to train her to wear a harness so she can go on walks. She is picking up on the skill quickly and is enjoying practicing walking around the office.

As cute as she is and as much as we love seeing her around the shelter, she does best when in a comfy home with the freedom to roam, which is why she has since moved to a wonderful foster home! She settled right in with the family who is keeping her happy and making sure she is taking her daily seizure medications. We are so thrilled Chuua has been able to get a much needed break from the shelter. She is a special kitty who deserves a loving home. We hope you will ask about Chuua today!

Chuua is spayed, up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations and is FIV and FeLV negative.

Chuua is currently staying in a lovely foster home. Email cats@heartlandanimalshelter.org to set up a time to meet her!
