Chonk's Story
Meet Chonk, a truly magnificent orange tabby. This big boy is a real lovebug. Two year old Chonk was trapped with a feral colony but he is such a friendly guy we could tell that he wasn't feral. We then learned from neighbors that he had been abandoned by his previous owners. He is grateful to be with humans in a loving foster home.
We don't know how long Chonk was on his own, but he can be a bit of a scaredy cat in new situations. He is a wonderful companion and loves to follow his foster mom around happily chatting. He is re-learning how to play and enjoys his scratching post with the ball on top. He has given a few playful love nips, so a home with older kids would be fine but not one with younger children.
Chonk is great with the litter box. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be microchipped before adoption. Chonk is FIV positive so he needs to be an indoor only cat (or he would enjoy a catio!). FIV positive cats can live long and healthy lives. He will need to either be a solo cat in the home or could potentially adapt to the company of another FIV positive kitty (he coexisted with other cats in the colony).
The minimum donation for his adoption is $125.
Chonk is in a foster home. Please contact Liz at 707 496-9623 or elizabethfinger1@gmail.com for more information or to arrange a meet and greet.
Please share.
