Meet Chloe

Chloe will follow you around the house and be thrilled when you pick her up and give her attention! She really loves people! A quiet, chill cat looking for a peaceful home, she would do great with an elderly person, a couple, or a family with calm or older children.

Chloe does not seek out or play with toys much - her human is her toy! She would rather not when it comes to other cats. She ignores them, but if they try to hassle her, she bats at them. Lots of people say I love to: Be held and petted by my human and their friends. I love people!

CHARACTERISTICS: Calm / Chill / Mellow, Gentle, Quiet, Alert, Good-natured, Easy-going, Sweet / Personable, Trusting, Cuddly / Snuggly, Lap Lover, Lovable, Loving, Huggable, Likes Rubbing, Likes Being Scratched, Likes to be Held

If I was on a dating app, my pickup line would be: "Hey, baby, are you looking for a cuddle date?"

In a human companion, I’m looking for: Someone who is calm, not in a chaotic household, and who wants a cuddly, friendly lap cat.

In an animal companion (house-mate): I'd rather be your one and only, but if you already have an animal, I would rather they leave me alone (and I'll leave them alone).

Despite my less-than-ideal start in life, I have flourished in FAN's care and am now: Doing great, healthy, and a calm and quiet kitty who loves attention.

++++++++++++++++++++

It’s important to set reasonable expectations when bringing any new cat home. We offer the Rule of Threes.
3 DAYS: To decompress
3 WEEKS: To get familiar with your house and its routines
3 MONTHS: To settle in and feel like they’re home

Adding a new animal to your household can be a whirlwind of an experience for many owners. There is a lot of change happening for your new cat, so it’s not uncommon for the cat’s behavior to change accordingly. They may be acting in ways you’ve never seen before, and this can be discouraging.

These “rules” are estimated marker points where you may see behavioral changes from your new cat.
SEE https://www.feralaffairs.org/faq/ to learn how long it may take to acclimate your cat to their new home.
