Rescued as a baby from a colony in Jeffersonville, he has grown into a more confident cat while still keeping his calm, sensitive personality. Once he feels comfortable, Chives loves being petted, leans into gentle affection, and especially enjoys having his belly rubbed.<br/><br/>Chives is incredibly gentle and gets along beautifully with other cats. Now that he has come out of his shell, he interacts well with his feline friends and enjoys their company. He would thrive in a calm home with a patient adopter who will continue to support his confidence and appreciate his quiet, loving nature.<br/><br/>With love and understanding, Chives will make a devoted and deeply rewarding companion.

Our adoption policies are designed to ensure that every cat is placed into a safe, stable, and loving home. We require a veterinary reference as well as personal references, ideally two from individuals who are not related to the adopter, to help us understand an adopter’s history of responsible pet care. When applicable, we also require proof of landlord permission to confirm that pets are allowed in the residence. These steps help us make thoughtful and well informed placements that support the long term well being of each cat.
