Chiara is a sweet, lovable two-year old kitty with large, gorgeously expressive jade jewels for eyes; she is looking for a patient, loving family to cherish her and help her continue her journey of blossoming courage and confidence.

This gentle soul has had a rough start to life. She was bullied by other cats in her previous living situation, and, as a result, has a cautious demeanor. During the past months in her foster home, Chiara - also affectionately known as ChiChi - has slowly grown in confidence and curiosity about life without fear. She now actively plays, requests pets and has found her sweet little voice to politely demand attention. The relaxing enchantment of tummy rubs are her latest brave discovery and even elicits purrs!

ChiChi is a sweet, low energy kitty who does not demand a lot of attention but would benefit from a couple short periods of daily interactive play to keep her healthy and expand the horizons of her world. She likes to play and with encouragement will definitely appreciate the fun of a more active and playful lifestyle. Chiara will always be a lounger at heart, however, and adores cozy spots to plant herself in to consider deep thoughts, get quality zzzzs or just contentedly observe life happening around her. She enjoys cat towers of all kinds and has top notch scratching form - cardboard scratchers and sisal posts are super entertaining pastimes. Her big cozy bed is a favorite hang out spot and biscuit making factory and will accompany her to her new home,

Chiara has a food allergy that is well managed by a special diet of probiotics and hydrolyzed cat dry food, which she will need to continue in her forever home. The Royal Canin hydrolyzed kibble costs $75 for a roughly two-month supply. Chiara does occasionally miss the litter box when she has a flare-up. She will need at least two litter boxes that are very regularly cleaned to help her maintain good litter box habits.

This sweet, gentle nugget's ideal home will feature people who are patient and able to spend time with her. She doesn't need a lot of attention, but she appreciates the presence and companionship of people. Her home should be on the quieter side with regular routines and not a lot of chaos and commotion. Because of her gentle, cautious personality, she would best in a home with cat-savvy, respectful children twelve and older. Chiara would do well as a solo kitty in a home where she would receive plentiful attention, but she would also thrive in a home with at least one other calm, friendly cat who could continue teaching her to be courageous and would also likely do well with dogs with a gentle disposition. Due to her past history, any potential four-legged companions should have a known history of living with other cats in a stable, respectful relationship.
