Caroline's Story

Caroline, affectionately known as "Sissy" by her foster family (and the resident cats she considers her siblings), has quite a story to tell.<br/><br/>She first entered rescue as a devoted young mother, lovingly raising her litter of kittens. Once her babies were ready to find homes of their own, it was finally Sissy's turn to discover life as it should be known to all animals.<br/><br/>When Caroline arrived at her post-motherhood foster home, she was understandably shy and cautious. But beneath that beautiful tortoiseshell coat was a sweet, affectionate cat just waiting to blossom. With patience, love, and time, her true personality emerged - and what a joy it has been to watch.<br/><br/>Today, "Sissy" is a confident, happy cat who fully embraces the comforts of indoor life. She loves relaxing on the cat tree, keeping a watchful eye on neighborhood squirrels and birds. When it's time to play, she's always ready for action. Wand toys, catnip toys, laser pointers, and her favorite treat-dispensing mouse keep her entertained and active.<br/><br/>One of Caroline's most charming habits is collecting her favorite toys and proudly carrying them downstairs to present to her foster parent. It's not unusual for her to make several trips up and down the stairs, carefully gathering a delightful assortment of toys to offer as special gifts.<br/><br/>"Sissy" has also become wonderfully social. She happily greets visitors, enjoys attention from guests, and is comfortable being held. Best of all, this once-shy girl has discovered the joy of curling up in her foster parent's lap.<br/><br/>Caroline is looking for a home where she can continue sharing her sweet nature, playful spirit, and endless affection. If you're searching for a loyal companion who has blossomed into an engaging and truly special cat, Caroline may be the perfect addition to your family.<br/><br/>Caroline is about 1-year old. She is fully vetted - spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and current on flea/heartworm preventative. She tested negative for both FIV and FeLV.<br/><br/>Adoption Fee: $195.00<br/><br/>Please complete the application below if you are interested in adopting:<br/>https://form.jotform.com/250175174725154

Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION THROUGH PALMETTO PAWS: *For each pet listed there is a bio with all details. Please take the time to read the bio in full as questions already answered in the bio will not be responded to. *Completion of the adoption application does not guarantee that you will receive an animal from us. There are many things that we take into consideration when reviewing applications. We reserve the right to deny any applicant. Our goal is to match the right animal with the right home. *We review applications in order received. We don't adopt on a first come, first serve basis. The decision is multifactorial and ultimately based on which applicant we feel is the best match for each pet listed. *Our pets live in private foster homes. We do not foster to adopt. *There is no opportunity to meet multiple listed pets. We meet one on one with approved adopters on Saturdays in Mt Pleasant. We do not host adoption events. If at the time of a meet, all parties agree we have a good match, then the pet goes home at that time. We are not able to "hold" a pet to be adopted at a later date. *We do not consider applications of those not able to meet/adopt on the upcoming Saturday. Please only apply when you are available and ready to adopt. *Adoption fees vary by listed pet and are disclosed in the bio. Applications are only considered for pups listed on Petfinder. We do not keep applications "on file" for a later date. *Most pets listed are mixed breed. We make no representation as to breed mix or potential adult size. ADOPTION APPLICATION If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please read the bio in full prior to submitting an application which can be found on our home page. Incomplete applications are not considered. The question regarding heartworm disease must be answered in full. Heartworm disease is a 100% preventable yet potentially life threatening disease in dogs. We believe every applicant should be well educated regarding heartworm disease and how to prevent it. Please remember that PPAR is an all volunteer organization. We do our best to process applications in a timely manner. The number of pets in our care and the number of applications we receive may influence processing time. Due to the high volume of applications received on certain pets we may only be able to respond to the selected applicant. The minimum age to adopt is 25 years.
